Mill Park Stadium is on Redleap Avenue, Mill Park 3082, and is home to Whittlesea City Basketball Association, the Whittlesea Pacers. City of Whittlesea lists four courts including a show court with seating, plus a kiosk, change rooms and a car park. The association's senior domestic games are all played here, while junior domestic Saturdays are spread across venues in the City of Whittlesea.
You'll see this venue called three slightly different things, and they're all the same building. City of Whittlesea calls it Mill Park Stadium on one page and Mill Park Basketball and Netball Stadium on another. Whittlesea City Basketball Association calls it Mill Park Basketball Stadium. The council lists the address as Redleap Avenue, Mill Park 3082, and the association describes its office as being at Mill Park Stadium, Redleap Reserve, Mill Park.
Neither the council nor the stadium publishes a street number, so put Mill Park Stadium, Redleap Avenue, Mill Park into your maps app rather than guessing at one.
The council's listing gives the stadium contact as 03 9647 2444 and millparkstadium@clublinks.com.au, and the stadium's own website lists the same phone number. That's the number for bookings and the building itself. Basketball questions about teams and fixtures go to the association, which lists its own number as 03 9404 1999, with office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
City of Whittlesea lists four courts, including a main show court with seating. The stadium's own site describes four indoor multi use courts, a show court with spectator seating, and accessible amenities. The council also lists a kiosk, change rooms, toilets, water fountains, a car park, and describes the venue as accessible.
The council upgraded the building and it was officially opened in October 2022. According to the council, that work added new female friendly change rooms, accessible public toilets, shower and change facilities, an updated kitchen and canteen, an improved front reception area and upgraded heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
The stadium's website offers online booking for casual shooting and for half court hire, and describes the courts as open to the community for casual shooting when they're available. It also lists court hire for schools, clubs and corporate groups.
The stadium doesn't publish a casual shooting price on its pages, so check the booking page or ring the stadium before you go. Opening hours are published on the stadium's website and are marked as subject to bookings, public holidays and closures, so check them on the day rather than relying on a time you saw weeks ago.
City of Whittlesea's page on the 2022 upgrade describes the stadium as home to the Whittlesea Basketball Association, which it says has more than 4,400 members, including about 2,800 junior members. The association's history page says it moved its operations to Mill Park as the competition grew, and that it now oversees approximately 250 junior domestic teams, 120 senior domestic teams, 39 junior championship teams and four senior teams in Big V.
The day of the week is where families get caught out. The association's junior domestic FAQ says junior games are played on Saturdays from 8am until 6pm, with fixtures built on an age flow system so the youngest age groups play first and the oldest last. It gives U8 and U10 tip off times of 8:15am or 9:05am, and U20 tip off times of 3:45pm or 4:35pm, noting these vary slightly each season.
That same FAQ says junior domestic games are played at different venues within the City of Whittlesea area, so a junior game isn't automatically at Mill Park. Senior domestic is different: the association says all senior domestic games are played at Mill Park Basketball Stadium, on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 5pm and 10:30pm.
Junior domestic players join through clubs. The association's advice is to choose a club that suits your location and contact that club directly about places.
The association runs junior domestic over two seasons. Winter starts in April and runs through terms two and three. Summer starts in October and runs through term four and into term one.
The association says no games are played during school holidays, public holidays or long weekends. If the school calendar says holidays, assume there's no domestic game that Saturday, and check the fixture to be sure.
Every junior player also needs a Basketball Victoria participant licence. The association lists it at $29 for a junior participant aged 17 and under, charged when a player doesn't already hold a licence that covers the whole season. Club fees are separate and set by each club.
The association's annual tournament, the Whittlesea Autumn Showdown, uses a wider list of venues. For 2026 the association listed Mill Park Basketball Stadium, Montmorency Secondary College Basketball Stadium, Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre, Eltham High School, Craigieburn Sports Stadium, Broadmeadows Basketball Association, La Trobe Sports Stadium, Casa D'Abruzzo Club in Epping and Lalor Secondary College.
The association says grand finals are played primarily at Mill Park Basketball Stadium and Montmorency Secondary College Basketball Stadium.
If your child is in a tournament team, read the venue on each game rather than assuming Mill Park. A tournament weekend can put you at more than one building.
