We couldn't find an official source that explains why the two addresses differ, so we're not going to guess which entrance either one puts you at. What both sources agree on is the venue: Boardman Stadium, in Eric Boardman Memorial Reserve.
Our suggestion is to type Boardman Stadium, Sunbury into your maps app and check the result against the council's address before you leave. If your fixture names a different venue, follow the fixture.
Hume City Council lists six sports courts with court-side seating, used for basketball, netball and badminton. It lists capacity for up to 500 people, a meeting room, air conditioning, toilets and showers, disabled amenities and a kiosk.
The association's history page explains how it got to six. It says the stadium started with two courts, grew to four in the 1980s, and that two new courts were added in January 2013, including a show court with seating for 350.
Find the court number on the fixture before you walk in.
The council lists 120 parking bays, including two accessible bays, and notes that parking can't be guaranteed. With netball, basketball and badminton all calling the stadium home, that's worth keeping in mind on a busy weekend.
The council lists the stadium as open Monday to Sunday, with bookings by request. Court hire rates effective July 2026 are listed at $85.50 an hour at peak times, 4pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, and $57.40 an hour off peak, 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday and on weekends. Bookings go through the council's booking enquiry form.
We couldn't find a casual drop in shooting session published by the council or the association, so we haven't listed one. Hiring a court is the officially listed way to get extra time on the floor outside a scheduled game.
The council describes Boardman Stadium as home of the Sunbury Netball, Basketball and Ladies Badminton Associations. Sunbury Basketball Association says it was formed in 1974, played first at the Army facility in Diggers Rest and then at Clarke Oval Reserve Stadium, and moved to Boardman Stadium in the late 1980s.
The association's representative teams play as the Sunbury Jets. It says its junior teams take part in the VJBL and Regional North West competitions across metropolitan Melbourne, and its senior teams compete in Big V. It entered Youth League men in 2007 and Youth League women in 2011.
The association uses the stadium for its own events too. Its news page announced the fourth annual Dohmen Jolly Round, played on two Saturdays in July with activities at Boardman Stadium and raising funds for Western Health.
For questions about teams, fixtures and registration, the association lists its phone number as 03 9744 4762 and its email as admin@sunburybasketball.com.au. For court bookings and the building itself, the council lists (03) 9205 2650.
Give yourself a buffer before tip off. The council notes that parking at the stadium can't be guaranteed.
There's a kiosk, but feed your child well before the game rather than in the last ten minutes. Bring a water bottle with their name on it.
If your child is new, walk in with them, find the court and find the coach before you sit down. Introducing yourself in week one makes the rest of the season easier for everyone.
