Camden Valley Basketball Association plays as the Camden Valley Wildfire across the Camden and Liverpool areas. Its Term 4 2026 junior local competitions are at Oran Park Leisure Centre, its junior rep teams play the Metro Junior League on Sundays, and 2027 rep trials run over three weeks from Monday 12 October 2026, with a $50 trial fee.

Camden Valley Basketball Association Inc, known as Wildfire, is a not-for-profit, community-run association endorsed by Basketball NSW, which lists it as Camden Valley Basketball among its affiliated associations. It says it runs junior and senior competitions across the Camden and Liverpool areas, from primary school and high school age through to youth and adults, as well as development programs.
Three venues matter to parents. Oran Park Leisure Centre hosts the current junior local competitions and many programs. Thomas Hassall Anglican College in Middleton Grange hosts most rep trials, rep home games and some programs. Mt Annan Leisure Centre hosts rep home games and Aussie Hoops.
Wildfire says it is represented in most junior age groups from Under 12 to Under 18, in both boys and girls teams, and in the senior Waratah league.
Wildfire's 2027 rep trials run over three consecutive weeks, in the weeks starting Monday 12 October, Monday 19 October and Monday 26 October 2026. Week 3 is an invite-only callback session; after the second trial, Wildfire posts online the list of names invited back.
Players new to rep basketball, or new to Wildfire, must come to both Week 1 and Week 2. Players who were in a 2026 Wildfire rep team can skip Week 1 with no mark against them, but they need to be at Week 2 to be in the running for a callback. Miss both of the first two weeks and there is no Week 3 session, with no exceptions. Any absence must be notified in advance.
Trials are at Thomas Hassall Anglican College, 125 Kingsford Smith Ave, Middleton Grange NSW 2171, entering via Flynn Avenue Gate 2. Under 16 boys trial at Oran Park Leisure Centre instead, in two randomly allocated groups that run the same way. Each trial is 90 minutes, and Week 1 starts with Under 12 girls and boys on Monday 12 October from 6pm.
The trial fee is a one-off $50, paid by card or cash at your first session, and Wildfire's rule is no payment, no trial. Get there 30 minutes before your session to collect an ID number, and bring a light and a dark reversible singlet or shirt, a ball and water. Registration is through the Google form linked from the trials page. Age divisions for 2027 are Under 12 (born 2016, 2017 or 2018), Under 14 (2014 or 2015), Under 16 (2012 or 2013) and Under 18 (2010 or 2011).
If your child is selected, Wildfire emails an offer and you have 48 hours to commit for 2027. Players who previously played rep at another association must lodge the Basketball NSW Intent to Trial form or they cannot trial. Wildfire accepts at most two transfers per age group from another Metro Junior League association, and families who have moved into the Wildfire catchment can apply not to be counted as a transfer. A selected player from another association also needs a Basketball NSW clearance from their previous association, which can be rejected for matters such as outstanding fees.
Wildfire publishes its 2027 Metro Junior League (MJL) fees, as published when we checked on 9 October 2026: $1,050 for an MJL squad player and $800 for a development team player, paid by instalments under a payment plan provided on selection.
New rep players buy a personalised reversible ($60), and any player without them needs Wildfire shorts ($40) and a warm-up top ($40). A hoodie is optional at $65. The training and local competition uniform is a reversible ($60) and shorts ($40).
Every player selected in an MJL or junior development team must also register in one of Wildfire's junior local competitions, which Wildfire calls non-negotiable. Rep teams play in the Waratah league weekly through the winter season, with juniors playing on Sundays against representative teams from across greater Sydney.
Oran Park Leisure Centre, 74 Central Avenue, Oran Park NSW 2570. Term 4 2026 junior local competitions, Under 16 boys trials, Wednesday Aussie Hoops, Development and Performance Training, and Under 10s Train and Play.
Thomas Hassall Anglican College, 125 Kingsford Smith Ave, Middleton Grange NSW 2171. Rep trials, rep home games, and Friday Aussie Hoops and Development Training. Trials enter via Flynn Avenue Gate 2, but the Aussie Hoops page gives Gate 1, so check the gate on each program page.

Term 4 2026 is a shortened standalone season at Oran Park Leisure Centre. From 2027 Wildfire's Saturday and Tuesday junior competitions will line up, with a Summer/Autumn 2027 season across Terms 1 and 2.
The Saturday junior competition is for Under 12 and Under 14. It runs eight rounds from Saturday 17 October to Saturday 5 December 2026, with grand finals on Saturday 12 December. The first game tips off at 10am and games are two 18-minute halves. It costs $165 per player, as published when we checked on 9 October 2026, due before round 1.
The Tuesday junior competition is for Under 16 and Under 18, combined into one division. It runs nine rounds from Tuesday 13 October to Tuesday 8 December 2026, with grand finals on Tuesday 15 December. Players can form their own teams, and there is no limit on rep players per team. It costs $180 per player. Separate girls competitions are also advertised for Term 4.
You can register a team or an individual, and Wildfire helps individuals find a team. On top of the competition fee, Wildfire lists Basketball NSW annual registration at $102.50 for ages 8 to 11 and $120.50 for 12 and over, which its Under 10s page says is valid for 12 months from the date you register, and says an Active and Creative Kids voucher can take $50 off your fees.
Ford Aussie Hoops is for ages 5 to 10. In Term 4 2026 it runs on Wednesdays at Oran Park Leisure Centre from 14 October to 16 December (5:30pm to 6:30pm) and on Fridays at Thomas Hassall Anglican College from 16 October to 18 December (6pm to 7pm), with a separate program at Mt Annan Leisure Centre. It costs $176 for 10 weeks, including Basketball NSW membership fees, and the starter pack for new players is optional at $50.
Under 10s Train and Play, for ages 6 to 10, runs on Saturdays at Oran Park Leisure Centre from 17 October to 12 December 2026: 30 minutes of training, then games. It costs $170 for nine weeks, plus the $102.50 membership, and Wildfire runs it alongside the Saturday competition as a feeder program.
Assist All Hoops is a program designed for young people with an intellectual impairment, at Mt Annan Leisure Centre. Its Term 3 2026 run was eight Saturdays at $55 per player.
Wildfire aims to run one Representative Development Team per junior age division in 2027, as it did in 2026. Development teams have their own coach and training schedule, play in the Barrengarry Conference and/or other competitions or tournaments, and players can be called up to a rostered spot in an MJL team at the head coach's discretion. The 2027 fee is $800.
Performance Training is a 10-week program for ages 12 to 18 on Fridays at Oran Park Leisure Centre, 7pm to 8:30pm, from 16 October to 18 December 2026, at $300. Wildfire says it caters to both developing players and rep-level athletes.
Development Training is aimed at beginner and intermediate players: Wednesdays at Oran Park Leisure Centre (7:30pm to 8:30pm) or Fridays at Thomas Hassall (7pm to 8pm), $220 for 10 weeks in Term 4 2026. Prep for Reps, an eight-week lead-in to trials coached by past and present Wildfire rep coaches, ran from 3 August to 25 September 2026 at $220.
