Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club, known on court as the Bulleen Boomers, has operated for over 55 years out of Sheahans Road Reserve. It runs junior domestic on Saturdays from Under 8 to Under 21, a VJBL junior championship program, and a Big V senior team.
The official name is Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball Club, though nobody says that out loud. On court they're the Boomers, and they have been running for more than 55 years.
Worth knowing that Bulleen is a club rather than an association in the Nunawading or Knox sense. It's one of the member clubs of the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association, and it also runs its own championship and senior programs on top of that.
If your child isn't ready for a Saturday team, Bulleen runs a decent spread of entry and development programs.
| Program | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| Baby Boomers | The youngest starters |
| Aussie Hoops | The national entry program |
| Future Boomers Development Program | Players building toward competition |
| Rep Prep Academy | Players aiming at a championship tryout |
| Ausome Hoops | Inclusive basketball |
| Walking Basketball | Adults, low impact |
| Holiday Camps | School holidays |
