A progress review in writing every month

Once a month you get a written review covering where your child started, where they are now, and what the next month works on. It is in writing so you can hold it against what you were told last month, and so progress is something you can check rather than something you hope for.

Liddicoat Basketball, coaching players aged 7 to 17

Written down, on purpose

The review is written rather than spoken. That is deliberate, and it is the part of the plan that protects you.

A verbal update is easy to make sound positive. A written one from last month sitting next to a written one from this month is much harder to fudge. If nothing moved, that shows, and it should.

It also means you can share it. With your child, with their club coach, or with the next coach they have.

What is in it

Where they were at the start of the month, in specific terms rather than adjectives. Where they are now. What actually changed and what did not. And what the next month is built around.

Where something did not improve, the review says so and says why. Sometimes the reason is that the work did not happen, and that is worth naming plainly rather than dressing up.

It also flags anything I think you should know that sits outside the training itself, for example if their load looks too high across school sport and club basketball.

It is a deliverable, not a nice extra

This is something you are paying for, so it happens whether or not it was a good month.

It is also the point where the training plan gets rebuilt. The review is not a report card at the end of a process, it is the hinge the next month turns on.

On the $250 plan the monthly review happens on court instead of on paper, done in person with the corrections made in the moment. You still get it in writing afterwards.

Questions parents ask

What if there is no progress that month?

The review says so, and says why. A review that only ever reports improvement is not worth reading.

Can I share the review with their club coach?

Yes. It is yours.

Is the review different on the $250 plan?

It happens on court rather than on paper, with the habits corrected in the moment. You still get the written version.

Ready to start, or still weighing it up?

Both plans are month to month with no joining fee and no lock in. Ask me anything before you sign up to anything.
